The collaborative journey begins with your vision and some photos of the site. Once we align on the initial concept, I'll take detailed measurements to develop a comprehensive CAD model. This digital prototype allows us to refine every detail together, either via virtual meetings or in person.
The modeling stage ensures complete transparency regarding the finished piece, providing the basis for accurate material schedules and firm project pricing.
I believe that refined simplicity drives both excellence and cost-efficiency. Utilizing various solid and engineered timbers, I select materials that best suit your specific aesthetic requirements and budget.

I hand-craft all elements of the design in my workshop. A combination of power tools (table saw, planer/thicknesser, mitre saw, bandsaw, router) and a wide range of traditional hand tools (saws, planes, chisels etc) is used to turn rough stock materials into high quality products.
I generally use traditional joinery techniques (mortice-and-tenons, dovetails, box joints, lap joints etc), for strength and durability, but will also use modern fastners where appropriate for speed.
Cupboard doors and drawers are all created in a traditional style for durability.
A range of glues are used depending on the specific application.

The finishing of any project is an integral part of the process, ensuring the product looks fantastic and lasts, whether indoors or out.
I use a wide variety of finishes, selected for the specific application and material, including:
